My Review:  I love the idea of solar powered novelties.  And since my family loves water, fishing, swimming, beaches etc, this was a great testing opportunity to see if it would work and how we would like this Lily Pad fountain.  This arrived during a very wet season, so we had to wait until we had a really sunny day with little to no cloud cover to test the "full direct sunlight" feature mentioned in the instructions about this water fountain.  When that day finally came, I brought my children down to the fish pond with me and we tested it out.  We opened the box, read the instructions, and opened up the lily pad to put on the water.  Right away I noticed that as soon as the solar panel gets direct sunlight it starts working regardless of it being in the water.  This was a little annoying, but it was an easy fix/ solution, you leave the lily pad folded up or turned up side down until you are putting it into the water.  Since it comes with different water shape attachments I thought it best to try some of them out.  We tried 3 different one of the 5 you are given.  I found that the original one works best in a dark water fish pond.  I feel that the larger ones would work better in clear, clean water like a water container, or pool.  But that is just my opinion.  I am really pleased with this product, and will be giving it to my parent's as a gift because they have lots of water elements in their landscaped yard and would use this more that I would.  I know that they would love it!  So I am going to recommend this product because it works exactly as it claims, its really nice looking in the water, and it really is super easy to use.

Pros: easy, beautiful, works excellently,

Cons: none

My Rating: Thumbs Up

  1. We couldn’t have done it without our generous donors. By cutting our fuel costs, we are saving thousands of dollars every month. And that means more of your donation dollars are going to help lift Tanzanian children out of poverty.solar panels.
