Vitamin C Serum

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

Details: Amara Organics: Vitamin C Serum: highest quality of Vitamin C, most stable form of Vitamin C, Natural and Organic ingredients, No parabens, never tested on animals, clinically tested formula, anti-aging serum.  Comes with Vitamin E and the base of this formula is Hyaluronic Acid.  Directions: apply small amount to finger tips and rub into freshly cleaned skin of face, neck, and decollete areas, avoiding the eyes, use daily before applying moisturizer.

My Review: I used this for off and on for a few months.  The first week I broke out really badly, from this serum.  But that's normal with my skin.  Anything new that I introduce for the first week I get a bad breakout.  But for then for the next 2 weeks I still have a bad breakout.  It wasn't fun to deal with, so I only used this on an every other day to every 3 days so my face could clear up.  The directions say to put this on with your fingers, so I would put this on in the morning, wash my hands throughout the day and even in the evening if I licked some food off my fingers it would have a horrible after taste from this Vitamin C Serum.  It was like licking rotten citrus.  Really nasty.  So that was another reason I stopped using it as much.  When I did use it first off frequently, I never really found it doing anything for my skin.  My wrinkles didn't go away, my pours didn't clear up, so to be honest, I'm not really sure if this product worked or not.  So in the end I stopped using it.  If I'm going to use a cosmetic product I want to see a difference, I don't want to deal with a break out on my face.  I don't recommend this product, but to everyone their own.  We all have different types of skin, and our skin all reacts differently to products, so my reactions may not be your reactions.

Pros: smooth, thick, stickiness goes away when its completely rubbed into skin.

Cons: I didn't feel like this did anything for me, got a bad 3 week break out on my face from using this product.

My Rating: Thumbs Down

Disclosure: I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Revlon Lash Potion Mascara

Details: Revlon Lash Potion by Grow Luscious Mascara: 003 Blackened Brown.  Volume and Length Mascara.  A mascara potion with strengthening proteins that drenches your lashed for hours with supernatural volume.  Triple groove brush gives a clump free look.  With 3 color options there is something here for everyone's lash color: black, blackest black, and blackened brown.

My Review: This is a great mascara for someone who likes both volume, and long lashes.  It goes on very easy, and comes off very easily too.  You can see as you take the wand out of the bottle that there aren't any clumps on the bristles.  Some times when using certain types and or brands of mascara there will be clumps in the bottle that get on the want bristles and then get stuck on your lashes.  But honestly, this Revlon Lash Potion really does what it says in the anti-clump claim.  Now for volume and length...I haven't actually seen my lashed grow longer, or even look longer with this mascara on.  I have found that this mascara instead makes my lashes look very natural, like there isn't mascara on.  I like that look, and it works well in many instances, but that also means that in my testing this out, longer lashes and volumized lashes aren't happening with this mascara like it claims.  So here is what I would say about this mascara: clump-less guaranteed mascara.  Natural looking lashes, no extra length or volume can be seen.
natural eye length

mascara looks natural

Pros: clump-less for sure, beautiful natural eye lashes

Cons: no extra lash length or volume

My Rating: Thumbs Up and Down

Disclaimer: I received a free full sized bottle in exchange for an honest, non biased review for Influenster and Vitabath.

My Review: When this product came I first noticed that 1.  I didn't get the fragrance that I asked for, 2. the "lightly frangrance" is actually really strong, and 3. this is super thick lotion.  Now with these aspects that I just pointed out.  Point number one was frustrating because I wanted the Pomegranate and Blood Orange scented lotion.  But ended up with the Grapefruit Vanilla scented lotion.  I do enjoy this scent thank goodness, I was worried because my skin and nose are super sensitive to grapefruit and vanilla.  Point number two is also something to keep in mind.  This lotion is one that needs to be put on and then aired before going to mingle with lots of people because its strong enough to be categorized as over powering by those standing or sitting closest to you.  But this is an easy fix, just put it on when you're alone in the bathroom or your bedroom.  Point number three is a great feature, because as it is winter right now, thick lotion is perfect for my extra dry skin.  This stays on for hours, even if you wash your hands, which is a huge plus for me.  This would also make a great gift for anyone who loves or needs to wear lots of lotion.

Pros: Amazing product, great scents, great for extra dry skin, and for smelling good

Cons: I didn't get what I asked for, but do like what I did get

My Rating: Thumbs up

Scandal Eyes mascara

Details: Rimmel London Scandal-eyes Retro Glam Mascara is $5.99 at most stores.  The 60's are back in full swing with thicker fuller, wide eyed look!  Rimmel London Scandal-eyes Retro Glam Mascara brings you a bold, wide-eyed look, fanned out volume, and no clumps for lashes that are up, out and over the top

Disclaimer: I received this free product from Influenster in my Rose Box in exchange for an honest non biased review.  Nevertheless I only recommend products that I have actually tested, tried and deem good.

My Review:  I love this mascara!  Its really fun, easy to use, and looks fabulous!  I have good eyelashes, but without the help of mascara you notice that one of my eye lids is more droopy than the other, so with makeup and mascara you don't really notice, eye lids, but my hazel eyes instead.  I have been experimenting with various mascaras this year, and have decided to do a product review on each mascara, and then do a comparison review, so you can see the differences.  What you need to know about this mascara: there really aren't any clumps, its easy to put on, goes on smoothly, and is easy to wash off (which means it'll run with tears, pool, or water).  There is no smell or scent, no chemical smell (funny, but I have a mascara that the chemicals have a scent, which burns my eyes).  The brush isn't one that I've used before, but its fun and works great.

Pros: easy to use, easy to wear, looks great, fun

Cons: none

My Rating: Thumbs Up

Age Guardian anti wrinkle cream

Details: Perfective Ceuticals: Divine Age Guardian Serum with growth factor.  An intense anti-aging wrinkle cure concentrate that contains unparalleled physiological combination of elements, which signal natural cellular activity within the skin.  It helps stimulate and regenerate the production of natural skin elements as well as minimizing the mechanisms that forms wrinkles, with long term results.  Directions say to gently smooth onto your face and neck after cleansing and toning.  best results say use 2 times a day.

Disclaimer: I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

My Review:  I got this at the same time as an anti wrinkle cleanser, which is perfect, between the 2 products I would really be able to see improvement of my wrinkles disappearing or I wouldn't.  After using for 3 weeks, using once a day, sometimes 2 times a day, I have been able to see: my forehead wrinkles aren't as deep set, and aren't as noticeable when my face is calm and still.  I have also noticed that my pores aren't as noticeable on my nose, and chin.  I feel like my skin is healthier, and smoother, and cleaner.  As far as my neck, I haven't really noticed any changes, with my skin, or the neck wrinkles there.  Other details that I noticed: the cream isn't cream; its more of a gel liquid, clear, no scent, a little sticky to the touch.  However the sticky factor is eliminated once its completely rubbed into the skin.  In the morning I sometimes mix this creamer with my liquid foundation.  It mixes well, and rubs right into my skin very easily.

Pros: I like how my skin feels with it on, I like how quickly it rubs into the skin,

Cons: I have only been using this for 3 weeks, I will keep using it and see how it continues to work.

My Rating: Thumbs Up
