Manicure Monday: Wedding Nails: 3D nail decals

Supplies: Sally Hansen Micro Glitter polish, LA color chunky silver glitter polish, Ice polish in silver, Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure top coat, Hot Designs Coral Pink nail pen, 2 types of 3D nail decals, super glue

Start with one layer of 

add a second layer of each color: the Baby Blue, and Coral Pink

For the Ombre look you need to add the Sally Hansen blue micro glitter polish
then add a tip of silver Ice Polish, and then the LA Color chunky glitter

If you don't let it dry correctly it'll look bumpy
 and gross like this picture

Done right it'll look like these,
add the top clear coat before adding the nail decals

Then just add a cute 3D bow decal on the Coral Pink nail

You can add one to your thumb nail too

Dead Sea Mud Shampoo

Details: Adovia mineral skin care: Dead Sea Mud Shampoo, uses Dead Sea minerals, vitamin E and Chamomile in their shampoo mixture that works for all hair types.  Comes in a 7.4 fl oz bottle.  Directions say: apply on wet hair and gently massage the hair roots and scalp.  Rinse well and repeat as needed.  Formula is made from Dead Sea mud silt, olive oil, grape seed oil, and aloe vera on top of the other minerals mentioned above.  Can be purchased on amazon.

My Review:  I love mud face masks, so I thought that a mud shampoo would be very cleansing and pure for my hair as well.  When I think about mud I think of a thick solution or mixture.  After opening this product and testing it out, I realized instantly that this is not thick, but actually really thin, and kind of gooey.  The shampoo is gun metal gray in color, there is a sheen to the shampoo.  This lathers into a large amount of bubbles when in your hair, feels great to use, smells nice and fresh, but isn't over powering.  I have looked at the ingredients and can't really place what the scent is, so if you have a perfume allergy (yes this is a real allergy), I would want to ask before using, just to be safe.  I haven't really noticed a difference in my hair since using it, but I needed to trade out shampoos and this is a great substitute.  So for me saying it works or it doesn't I am unable to say honestly.  It washes out easily and quickly, and I'll even let it sit in my hair for up to 3 minutes in the shower to give it extra time to work nicely in my hair.  I give this product a thumbs up and down.  Meaning its a good shampoo to use, but I honestly don't think there is anything special about it, even though it has Dead Sea mud silt.  Maybe as I continue to use this, in a month or two I'll see a bigger difference but right now after using it a couple of weeks I haven't really seen a good or bad change to my hair.

Pros: smells great, is soft and easy to use, washes out easy, within 2 weeks of using I don't see a negative difference

 My Review:  I love brain teaser games, and games that help tune in your brain, thinking skills, and deductive skills.  So when I saw this game I just had to try it out.  When I got it, I wasn't really sure what I was getting because I've never played sudoku.  But guess what I found out, you don't need to know how sudoku works in order to play this game.  Just read the instructions, which are easy to read and understand, and then start exercising your brain.  The night I got this in the mail I played the first 10 challenges in the beginner's level within half an hour.  It was fun, challenging, and I felt relaxed afterwards.  I love the cute little pieces of chocolate you get to play with, and amazingly I don't actually crave chocolate when playing, but its always fun to have some on hand just in case.  This game is for kids age 8+ up to adults.  As an elementary teacher, I can see this being very productive to keep on my desk, or in the drawer so it doesn't disturb my students, so I can play one challenge here and there during the day to keep my mind focused.  I can also see my 7 almost 8 year old wanting to play this when I take it home.

 Suggestions: This game is great!  I love the various game options you can get from Think Fun as well, and have one suggestion for this company.  I would love to see this in a 2 player game option in the future.  But even if that's not an option, I'll just have to buy more games so all my family can play at the same time on their own boards.

Manicure Monday: Wedding Ombre nails

This past weekend I was apart of the wedding party, and was asked to hand paint the Bride's nails.  She wanted blue-silver ombre nail art, with 3D silver rhinestone bows on her ring fingernails.  Below you will see how I got this look on my own toes (sorry my feet look awful right now...) but her's looked so much better!

NYC Long Wearing Enamel: 151 Skyline Blue polish 

This is the base coat/ color (it took 2 layers to get it smooth)

This is the second coat: it also took 2 layers for the shine to come through

2 steps in one.  Start with a thin tip line of the Ice in Silver, then while its still wet, use the chunky silver glitter and brush backwards towards your cuticles but only half way down your nail spreading the glitter evenly for that Ombre look.

Finish with Hot Designs nail pen in Coral Pink with dot flowers in different positions (the pink matched my dress)

My Review:  As a brand ambassador, I am very excited to tell you about the fun new snacks.  Habanero potato chips and Red Chile potato chips are the new fad.  Hot n spicy chips that will fill your mouth with fire, heat, and desire for more of these yummy treats.  Each bag is 1.75 oz net weight and contains 2 serving sizes of chips, but lets be honest, if you open this bag, you'll want to eat the whole bag right then and there all by your self.  I enjoy spicy foods, I love my salsas, but spicy chips are new to me.  Sometimes I like them and sometimes I don't.  With this being said, I was really glad that I got 2 bags of chips each so that I could get a second opinion of these.  My Father-In-Law loves spicy foods, and usually the hotter the better, but his biggest complaint is that there just isn't enough heat.  So he tested one bag of Habanera chips, and one bag of Red Chile chips.  He said they taste really good, have plenty of flavor, are nice and crispy.  However, with the Habanera chips, he said there was only a hint of the flavor and heat, instead of what he thought there should be flavor wise.  He did like the Red Chile chips because they tasted exactly like he expected.  As for me, the Habanero chips were actually WAY too spicy for me.  So you get to extremes on a taste review.  As far as the Red Chile chips I really liked those as well.  I love the flavor!  These are super yummy.  Really, the full flavors are up to you, if you enjoy spicy and heat that's hot, these will tickle your taste buds, and boil your stomach, and help you blow fire!

Pros: great flavors, crispy chips, really hot and spicy

My Review:  I love animals, and have loved animals since I was a child.  Growing up on animal farms in multiple states across the United States, I have seen some amazing things from my pets, and the animals we raised.  Cats are mysteries, so many people have discovered, as they want love and attention, but on their own turf.  Male cats are way easier to be around, at least my experience shows it.  I've been able to see a baby llama right after birth, raised a kitten when all the other kittens in the litter didn't live, watched my female dog become a mother to that kitten, catching my iguana after she spent Christmas in our Christmas tree, and having my homework eaten by my sibling's very annoying Cockatoo, and have also had the saddening experiences of saying good bye to some of my best friends as they passed onto a better life.

Why do I take all this time and space writing about my personal life with animals, and with my pets.  Not everyone gets to experience what I have had the wonderful opportunity, given to me by my loving parents, with animals and pets as myself.  I won't have the same experiences as other people as well.  But being able to have any part of an experience with an animal or pet even if it means having an amazing picture hanging on your wall, leaning up against your window, or a poster in your child's bedroom.  Fulcrom Gallery has so many wonderful images of all kinds of animals in their gallery, it actually took me a long time to figure out what animal picture I wanted to pick as the product review.  I love horses, dolphins, and zoo animals.  So those are the searches I started with.  My kids love puppies, reptiles, and sea creatures; but since Father's Day is coming up, I wanted to find something special for my wonderful husband.  His office has a very large and beautiful picture of a leopard family being guarded by the Mother Leopard.  This painting has special meaning to my husband, so I wanted to find something just as special for him from Fulcrom Gallery too.

Product: My search was very specific: I searched large size, wide shape, and choose zoo animals as my filters.  Nothing.  So then I went to medium sizes.  Tons of options.  And right there was the perfect picture for my husband.  The Lion and the Lamb! As one who enjoys canvas paintings, I wanted something extra special, so I looked into the options of canvas available to me through this company: there are 4 canvas options, 2 stretcher/ side bar options, 18 side bar color options, and lastly 3 brush stroke options.  I went with: museum wrap, 1.5" bars, black side paint, and heavy brush strokes.  Choosing heavy brush strokes was something I didn't know how it would turn out.  I was super worried, but when I got the painting I was so happy to see it was a risk well worth it.  The brush strokes was the first thing my husband commented on!  This isn't the first canvas print I've ordered as a product review.  But the first that actually gave me a quality product, the canvas is wrapped, and stapled professionally, thank you so much.  I am so highly impressed with this company and everything they have to offer!

Manicure Monday: Sugar Crush Chevron

Here is a simple, fast, cute and bright Spring nail art design.  Once again, we want to thank Nails with Zing for giving us this Manicure Monday!

I've used this Sally Hansen Sugar Coat brand before and followed the directions of 2 thin layers of polish.  But I didn't like the results, it looked awful.  But with this I did one thin layer of polish and it actually turned out great!
